Chris and I started our journey together in 2006, long before Whitewood Acres became what it is today.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by them, and that love eventually led me to my childhood dream of becoming a Veterinary Technician. For nearly 20 years, I have worked in small animal medicine here in Minnesota, caring for dogs, cats, and the families who love them.

As our family grew, I found myself wanting to build something that allowed me to stay present for my children while still doing what I love. That is how our in home dog boarding began. What started as a way to offer dogs a calmer, more personal alternative to traditional boarding has grown into something so much more meaningful than I ever imagined.

Today, Whitewood Acres is the heart of our property and the place where all of this began. It is our home, our land, and the foundation for everything we are building. Through The DogHaus, we continue to offer luxury dog boarding in a peaceful, home style environment where dogs are cared for with comfort, routine, and genuine love.

Our hope is that Whitewood Acres continues to grow into a place where people feel welcome, animals are celebrated, and families can create memories together. From dog boarding to future farm experiences, everything we offer is built around the same simple idea.
